POWS Meeting 04/08/2025

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm

Our speakers this evening were Seina Gilman and Alex Orellana from Neighborhood Services.

The discussion was about neighborhood grants.  These are available for county residents.  The applications need to be turned in by 09/12/2025, 01/08/20206, & 04/09/2026.  Seina suggested using the Property Appraiser website for property lines, etc.  The county is offering a Community Conference with several workshops on November 15th.

Sue H. advised that the rummage sale was a huge success with half of the money going to the church.  We received a $300 donation and extra money in the fun fund.  It was discussed to maybe use the fun fund for a Christmas party.

The school board has approved to help with our food drive.  Which will be August 16th, with drop off at the church.

Commissioner Moore invited everyone to her event Friday at the Hilton Garen Inn, she is running for mayor.  May 31st at 9:30am they will celebrate the opening of the West Orange Trail Bridge.  POWS will set up a table.
