2026 May Meeting Minutes

POWS Board Meeting 05/12/2026

Meeting was called to order at 6:31pm

We discussed reaching out to local businesses for food donations for the pancake breakfast on May 30^th.  Pat will talk with Kay at Jeff’s Bagel Run for bagels and/or coffee.  Debbie Stevens will reach out to Sprouts for sausage.  Debbie Mills is providing pancake mix and syrup.  Angel will supply orange juice, silverware and cups.  Tammy and Sue Garich will bring plates, napkins, a griddle and chafing dishes with sternos.  Tammy may reach out to Starbucks if coffee is needed.

The leftover items will be donated to Longwood Hills Community Church.

We will bring mural pictures to the rummage sale for purchase.

Tammy will create a mockup of the new stickers and send it to the board for input.

Pat will contact a CPA to get the taxes done.

Bob Sampson will be discussing his book at the June meeting.

Angela would like everyone to reach out to 311 about the green Centurylink boxes.

POWS Meeting 05/12/2026

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm

Pat gave the financial report, a $500 donation was deposited.  We are currently being charged $5 monthly by the bank.  This cannot be waived; our savings balance does not meet the requirements.  We paid $75 to use the church fellowship hall.  This will be waived for the month of May.

We will arrive at the fellowship hall on Friday after 4:30pm to set up and price items.  We will arrive by 7:30am on Saturday for the sale.  Tammy will bring blue plastic bags to use at the sale.  Food will be served 8am-10am.  Debbie Peterson will help in the fellowship hall on the day of the sale.  Debbie Mills and Pat will be cooking.

We are planning to have the septic to sewer worker appreciation day in October or the latest January.

Kelly would like to get all the people groups together.  Tammy suggested at the 5^th Avenue Farmers Market.  Kelly will compose an email to send to the leaders of the groups and send to Tammy for distribution.  Kelly suggested maybe creating a Facebook group for all the people groups.

The Q2 cleanup is still being determined by Angela and Debbie Stevens,

We are targeting August or September to meet the district 2 candidates.
