POWS Board Meeting 03/10/2026
Meeting was called to order at 6:45pm
Angela Norwood was named Director at Large. This completes the final position of the board which is:
Tammy Garich- President
Debby Stevens- Vice President
Sue Garich- Secretary
Pat Russell- Treasurer

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm
We discussed the upcoming cleanup on March 28th. We will be purchasing safety vests, gloves, grabbers and garbage bags. This will be paid out of the fun fund, and the remaining money will be deposited. Tammy and Sue will supply water, a tent and a table. Tammy will reach out to Publix and Sprouts to see if we can get snack donations. We will be meeting at Crossroads Church. Tammy will talk to Sue H. about the possibility of getting safety signs donated. It was asked if the students need waivers to participate in the cleanup. Tammy will discuss with Sue H.
Kelly will look into levels of sponsorship and what comes with each level.
It was suggested that we get the new County Commissioner to speak at one of our meetings. Tammy will look into this.
We will do another rummage sale and pancake breakfast, possibly in May.
It was suggested that we attend other community group meetings to get ideas.
It was discussed if we should have monthly meeting instead of quarterly. Jeff is going to do a poll on Facebook. It was suggested that we rotate someone bringing snacks to the meetings.
We will have a meeting in April. Tammy will work on getting a speaker. Pat Russell will reach out to the Apopka historian that spoke at another meeting, to see if he will come back.
It was suggested that we have a sewer Employee Appreciation Day. We can discuss this closer to the septic project.
The new board was announced to the membership which enables us to proceed with the filing of the non-profit status documentation as required by law.Meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm
