2025 October Meeting Minutes

POWS Board Meeting 10/14/2025

The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.

We discussed Trunk or Treat; Apopka Print & Mail will be attending.  POSA will have someone in attendance.  It will be 10/25/2025 from 4pm-6pm Richard will provide a tent and music as well as power for those who need it.

We will have a Christmas party in December.  POWS will provide a couple of main dishes; others will bring side dishes.

There is a place on the website to request speakers for next year.

Christine Moore may request volunteers to help with her turkey give away.

It was suggested that we do clean up projects once a quarter.  Getting local schools involved.

Sue H. has announced that she will be stepping down from president’s position next year.

The suggestion was made to move meetings to quarterly.

POWS Meeting 10/14/2025

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm

Our speaker was Paula Hamilton, from Orange County Protection Office.  She shared information on what her department does and things to be aware of.  Please see her handout on the website.

There is a sign-up sheet on the website to participate in Trunk or Treat.

Someone from the fire department will be our speaker next month.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm
