POWS Board Meeting 04/08/2025

Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.

Emails for rummage sale drop off will go to Tammy and Sue.

Sue H. updated the website with all the upcoming events.

We will start advertising for the food drive early July.

Rick found bags for the food drive.  We will staple instructions to the bags that go to churches and schools.

June/July we will not meet.

Tammy will see if she can get someone from Hope to speak at the 8/12 POWS meeting.

POWS Meeting 04/08/2025

Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm

Our speaker this evening was David Arms, Chief Engineer with Orange County Utilities.  Discussing Septic to sewer project.

Mr. Arms stated that effective 03/1/2025, if there is a property less than 1 acre with septic, they will be required to upgrade to an enhanced septic tank or connect to the central sewer system.  This will need to be done when septic repairs are needed or in 20 years.

We were assured that any impact to existing driveways, sidewalks, sod or irrigation, etc. during the septic to sewer project; Orange County contractors will repair.

There are forms that need to be completed for the project, available on the Orange County website.  License agreement, plumbing permit/2 meters.  There will also be time to fill the forms out and have them notarized at the meeting prior to construction.  These meetings will take place at Clay Springs Elementary School.  You will be notified of the dates for the meetings.

Commissioner Moore discussed upcoming events.  Lockhart will have an Easter egg hunt Saturday, 04/12/2025.  May 1^st there will be students painting the trail, supervisors are needed.  May 31^st there will be a celebration for the opening of the bridge on Park Ave.Meeting was adjourned at 8:30p
